ESTHER MAY SEVERANCE
Esther M. Severance, 83, of Decker, died Saturday, March 12, 2005 in Hills & Dales General Hospital. She was born May 24, 1921 in Clinton County to David Lewis and May (Miller) Woodhull. She married Lloyd �"Chic Severance August 24, 1938 in Decker. He died May 30, 2001.
Esther was a member of Shabbona United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flowers. Esther also enjoyed embroidery and working crossword puzzles.
Esther is survived by her children: Arthur (Janet) Severance of Decker, Leslie (Kay) Severance of Decker, Linda (Leland) Hirsch of Decker, Ruth Ann (Dave) Marshall of Cass City; grandchildren: Dean (Laura) Severance, Tim (Roxann) Severance, Randy (Deb) Severance, Sally Cooper, Beth (Doug) OParka, Becky (Mike) Rule, Brenda (Al) Sherman, Lyle (Heather) Severance, Suzanne (Mark) Reehl, Brian (Shari) Hirsch, Kristy (Dave) Scheuer, Scott (Beth) Marshall and Mike (Mary) Marshall; 23 great grandchildren and the 24th expected soon; nephew, Wilbur (Sarah) Sanderson of Keystone Pines, FL. She is preceded in death by her grandson-in-law, Daniel Cooper; brother, Ralph Sanderson; great granddaughter, Holly Nicole Marshall.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Shabbona United Methodist Church with Rev. Ellen Burns officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Shabbona United Methodist Church, Lamotte Missionary Church, Bay Shore Camp or Gideons International. Pallbearers for Mrs. Severance are her grandsons: Dean Severance, Tim Severance, Randy Severance, Lyle Severance, Brian Hirsch, Scott Marshall and Mike Marshall.
