SCOTT FRANK WOIDAN
Scott Frank Woidan, 62, of Cass City, died Sunday, January 5, 2025 after a long, hard battle with COPD. Scott was born August 25, 1962 in Cass City to Frank and Jackie (Barrons) Woidan. He married Dawn Crosby on August 15, 1981.
Following Kingston High School, Scott worked tirelessly for numerous agricultural businesses as a Custom Applicator. He would eventually close his career with Crop Production Services (Nutrien Ag Solutions) in 2015, as a master in his field. A man dedicated to hard work and providing for his family, he truly loved what he did and took pride in his skillset. There was always a line of farmers, just waiting for him because they would trust no one else with their crops.
Scott was passionate about spending time with his grandkids and enjoyed their company every chance he could, whether it be just sitting at home or on a beach for a weeklong vacation. Watching westerns, NASCAR and the Detroit Lions were his most recent favorite pastimes. In earlier days, he loved to wrench on engines, big and small, and ride anything with wheels or skis. Over the years, Scott had a diverse collection of fast cars, quads, bikes, and snowmobiles. He spent hours in the garage with his son, Scottie, who preceded him in death in 2017.
Although it broke his heart, quite literally, losing a child gave Scott a new outlook on life. He learned to love deeply and freely; he expressed his emotions more openly and understood how precious every moment truly is. He rediscovered the importance of family. He was a good man, with a big heart who recognized just how short life can be. He took the opportunity to say I love you more often and make the best of the time we all have left here on Earth.
Scott is survived by his wife, Dawn; children: Heather (Jeremy) Forrest, Tanya (Cory) Kulinski; grandchildren: Taylor (Harry) Santti, Nicholas (Katie) Forrest, Makena Kessler, Brayden Kessler, Madison Kulinski, Parker Kulinski and Olyvia Woidan; great grandchildren: Emma and Theodore Santti. He is preceded in death by his father, Frank Woidan; mother, Jackie Roeske, and stepfather: Gerald Roeske; sister: Vicki Stolzman; and son: Scott Woidan.
