Georgiana L. Schmidt, 93, died Tuesday, February 4, 2003 in her son’s home in Eastpointe. She was born June 26, 1909 in Montreal, Quebec to Eugene and Georgiana (Blondin) Rousson.
Georgiana is survived by her children: Jimmy (Barbara) Serianni, Charles (Nora) Schmidt, of East Lansing, Anna M. (Brian) Offutt of Chambersburg, PA, Jeffrey J. Stacer of Grand Rapids; sisters-in-law, Lucille Stacer of Ruth, Cecelia Stacer of Bad Axe; brothers-in-law: Harold Stacer of Ruth, Merlin (Magdalene) Stacer of Ruth; many nieces and nephews. Her brother, Paul T. Nelson; and her first husband, Gene Wright, precede her in death.
Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, February 12, 2003 at Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City, with Rev. Steve Gavit of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Ruth officiating. Interment is in Bowne Cemetery, Bowne Township, MI. Memorials may be made to Deckerville Community Hospital Auxiliary or American Diabetes Association.
