IRVIN REINHOLD SCHAUFELE,
84, of Cass City, died following complications of Parkinson’s disease Monday, March 25, 2019 in Covenant Medical Center Harrison Campus, Saginaw. He was born July 15, 1934 in Rapson to Reinhold and Auguste Charlotte (Schwartz) Schaufele.
Irvin attended Peck High School. In his younger years, he worked on his parent’s farm. Irvin worked as a truck driver for Sanilac County Road Commission retiring after 35 years of service. He enjoyed the outdoors. Through the years he continued to farm and work in his garden. Irvin was fond of camping with friends and fishing. He loved helping out in Shabbona United Methodist Church by making sub sandwiches and pies.
Irvin is survived by his children; Timothy Schaufele of Brown City; Debora Harris of Toledo, OH; Jeffrey (Deanna) Schaufele of Deford; Laura (Dan) Schneider of Sterling Heights; Clifton (Becky) Schaufele of Melvin; grandchildren: Matthew Bischoff, Shannon Bischoff, Amanda Kunkle, Jason Schaufele, Phillip Schaufele, Jenna Schaufele, Joshua Schaufele, Caitlin Schneider, Justin Schaufele, Angelina Schaufele; great grandchildren: Andre Mlynarski, Jamal Mlynarski, Jason Schaufele, Gabrielle Schaufele, Easton Kunkle, Graham Schaufele; sisters: Esther Lippert of Ashford, AL; Elfrieda Nielsen of Peck; many nieces, nephews, cousins. He is preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 2019 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Bruce McCumons of Omard United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Omard Cemetery.
