DON CLARENCE SCHAUDT
Don C. Schaudt, 49, of Deford, formerly of Warren, died Tuesday, October 11, 2005 in his home with his family by his side. He was born January 17, 1956 in Grosse Pointe to Elmer and Joan (Cayan) Schaudt. He married Kimberly Hall August 26, 1978 in Hazel Park.
Don worked with his grandfather for Kraft Heating and Cooling in Detroit for many years before becoming an Ironworker. He was a member of Ironworker Local 25 for 29 years. Don was a member of the NRA and enjoyed deer and small game hunting. He loved NASCAR and was the #1 Mark Martin fan. He loved working on cars and trucks. Don was great with his hands, very creative. He remodeled their home in Deford. He was a very �"proud papa” to his grandson, Logan.
Don is survived by his wife, Kimberly; sons: Donald Schaudt of Deford, Joshua Schaudt of Deford; grandson, Logan Schaudt; mother, Joan (Arthur) Kopp; sisters: Marie (Ken) Faiet of Mt. Clemens, Lorri (Ernie) Petty of Madison Heights, Yvonne Kopp of Capac, Chris Kopp of Cass City; brothers: Franklin (Renee) Schaudt of Taylor, Tony (Sally) Kopp of Cass City; 15 nieces and nephews; five great nieces and great nephews; Logan’s mother, Melissa. Don was preceded in death by his father, Elmer; brother Lawrence Turner; in-laws: Jordan and Barbara Hall.
Funeral service held 12:00 p.m. Saturday, October 15, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Matthew Maddox of Little Zion Old Regular Baptist Church of Romeo officiating. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mr. Schaudt are: Jack Benny �"Ben” Green, Jason Maddox, Tyson Kappen, Allan Adams, Adam Kessler, Zack Bliss. Honorary pallbearer, Joshua LaFave.
