IDA MAE SARI,
85, of Marlette, died unexpectedly Monday, December 6, 2010 in Marlette Regional Hospital Extended Care Unit. She was born February 22, 1925 in Goodland to John J. and Florence (Chase) Robinet. She married Joe Sari November 10, 1951 in Lapeer. He died December 20, 1994.

Ida and her husband were lifelong dairy farmers. Ida was a former longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Burnside and a member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Marlette. She enjoyed playing BINGO and was an avid Euchre player in previous years. Ida enjoyed watching the deer and appreciated their beauty. She enjoyed the many trips “up north”, finding cabins to stay in at night and the daily trips at dusk to look for deer and the occasional bear. In later years, Ida enjoyed camping with her sisters and her grandsons. Skipping stones on the water was a fun experience.

Ida is survived by her daughters: Judy (John) Wojkiewicz of Grand Blanc, Mary Lou (Ray) Wolak of Kingston; grandchildren: Joe “Joey” (Magy) Menne, Brenda (Rick) O’Connor, Wayne “Johnnie” (Jenn) Menne, Tim Wolak, Brian Wolak, Greg Wolak; great grandchildren: Bradley (Kathleen) Menne, Neil, Qwon, Shavon, Matthew and Clarke; sisters: Nettie Ruhlman, Mary North, Agnes (Chuck) Ferguson, Elizabeth “Liz” (Albert “Tom”) Bartlett; brother, Charles (Francis) Robinet; sister-in-law, Marguerite Sari; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Edwin Robinet, Victor Robinet; brothers-in-law: John Ruhlman, Ellwood Romskin, Bruce "Junior" North, Joe Cichoracki, John Sari; sisters-in-law: Marie Robinet, Helen Robinet and niece, Deborah Sari.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 10, 2010 in St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Rev. Andrzej Boroch officiating. Interment will be in St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Marlette. Pallbearers for Ms. Sari: Joey Menne, Johnnie Menne, Tim Wolak, Brian Wolak, Greg Wolak and John Trowbridge. Memorials may be made to Marlette Regional Hospital Extended Care Unit Activities Fund.
