JANE RYBA
Jane Ryba, 88, of Cass City died Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in Courtney Manor, Bad Axe. She was born March 29, 1928 in Chicago, Illinois to Edward and Mary (Cossar) Stempel. She married John Ryba, Jr. October 18, 1963 in Dearborn.
Jane studied liberal arts while attending the University of Detroit. She worked for Sandusky Vision Center for over ten years. Jane was an active member and had served as treasurer of Cass City Missionary Church. She was a former board member of the Tuscola County Recycling Center and volunteered as an Al-Anon delegate for the State of Michigan. A member of the Friends of the Library, Jane was an avid reader and loved historical fiction. She was devoted to her family, friends and her three spoiled cats.
Jane is survived by her husband, John; son, Richard (Karen) Spring of Charlevoix; daughter, Karen (Mike) Spring-Hadley of Commerce Township; daughter in law, Marie Spring of Farmington Hills; grandchildren: Kevin (Shannon) Kay, Jeremy (Jill) Kay, Jessica Kay, Megan (Tom) Brynholf, Katelyn Spring, Laura Spring, Meghan West, Joanne (Mike) Lovell, Katherine (Del) Osborne; great grandchildren: Kelly, Frankie, Samuel, Frankie, Owen, Vinnie; sister, Patty (Richard) Guthrie of Old Hickory, TN; sister in laws: Delores Munoz of Dearborn; Angie Kincaid of Redford. She is preceded in death by her son, Edward "Mike" F. Spring, Jr.; sister, Ann Dilley.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2016 in Cass City Missionary Church with Pastor Phil Burkett officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City.
