ROBIN MARIE RUSSELL
Robin M. Russell, 56, of Cass City, died Monday, January 4, 2016 in her home following a short illness. She was born November 14, 1959 in Caro to Louis Charles and Dolores Mae (Thane) Cheek. She married George Erwin Russell February 2, 1979 in First Presbyterian Church of Cass City.
Robin worked for Walmart in Bad Axe as the HBA Department Manager retiring in 2015 after over 20 years of service. When the children were young she and George served 4H as volunteer sheep superintendent at the local fair. Robin loved camping and spending time at their property in West Branch with family. She loved Jeeping at Silver Lake and climbed the highest hills. The grandchildren were the center of her life and she never told them No. Robin always kept her "girls" close by, her dachshunds Evelyn and Ellie.
Robin is survived by her husband, George; children: Marie (Bryan) Koch of Gagetown, Keith Russell of Cass City, Amy (Jimmy) Sattelberg of Deford, Mike (Kathy) Russell of Decker; grandchildren: Bryce, Kaylee, Tanner, Kirsten, Toby, Cody, Jason (Tiffany), Cole, Aidan; great grandson, Logan; father, Louis Cheek of Zephyrhills, FL; sisters: Carol Ann (Ed) Gonzales of Essexville, Vera (Bill) Parmenter of Unionville; brother, Charles Cheek of Oklahoma City, OK; many nieces and nephews. Robin is also survived by George's siblings and their families. She was preceded in death by her mother, Dolores Cheek.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, January 7, 2016 in Kranz Funeral Home – Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery.
