Marion Grace Russell, 93, of Mayville, died following an extended illness Thursday, July 4, 2013 in St. Mary’s Medical Center, Saginaw. She was born May 28, 1920 in Caro to George and Carrie (Hildinger) Brady. She married Gerald Russell February 7, 1942 at her family home in Caro. He preceded her in death in the late 1950's.
Marion graduated from Kingston Public Schools. She attended Kingston Wesleyan Church. Marion enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She felt most comfortable taking care of people, trying to be there for them, making sure they felt good, and taking care of their needs. Marion loved spending time with her grandson, Eugene and her great grandchildren.
Marion is survived by her daughter, Nancy Russell of Caro; grandson: Eugene Roach, Lake Orion; two great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Carolyn Roach and Patricia McConnell; her son, William Russell; and her grandson, Gerald McConnell.
Funeral services held 11:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013 at Kingston Wesleyan Church, Kingston with Pastor Len Wyatt officiating. Interment is in East Dayton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
Visitation: 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, July 8, 2013 at the Kingston Wesleyan Church.
