ANN MARIE RUGGLES
Ann M. Ruggles, 79, of Kingston, died Wednesday, September 5, 2018 in her home following a long struggle with Parkinson’s. She was born September 11, 1938 in Caro to Milo Melvin and Alice Marjorie (Coler) Culbert. She married Arlo Owen Ruggles February 24, 1973 in Caro United Methodist Church. They happily celebrated their 45th anniversary this year.
Ann graduated from Caro High School with the class of 1956. She worked for the Caro Drug Store for a short time and then began a lifelong career as a legal secretary for the firm of Ransford, Crews, and Burgess which lasted nearly 38 years. Ann was a life member of Caro United Methodist Church. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years. Ann was a meticulous homemaker, a great gift giver, a caring, thoughtful card warrior, and was always ready with spirit lifting words for those who needed them.
Ann is survived by her husband, Arlo; daughter, Dawn Raymond of Southwest Harbor, ME; sisters: Jane (Jerry) Montei of Caro, Marilyn (Jason) Potter of Haslett; sister-in-law, Sharon (Jerry) Thorp of Caro; several nieces and nephews; many special friends and family including: Jim and Sharon Brandibur, Glennadine Ruggles and Delores Culbert.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 10, 2018 in Caro United Methodist Church with Rev. Dr. Anthony Tomasino officiating. Interment will take place Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Kingston Cemetery, Kingston. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund for special projects at Caro United Methodist Church or Kingston Village Park.
