RONALD CHESTER ZOLCIENSKI
Ronald C. Zolcienski, age 74, passed away October 28, 2023, in Cass City. He was born on August 10, 1949, in Hamtramck to Chester and Pelagia (Mucha) Zolcienski. Ron dedicated thirty years of his life to working diligently at General Motors, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and commitment.
Outside of his professional life, Ron found solace in the simple joys of life. He was a proud Eagle Scout with many awards and certificates to showcase his efforts. Ron had a deep love for nature and spent his leisure time indulging in pursuits such as hunting and fishing. He loved the holidays and often went above and beyond decorating both the inside and outside of the house, for Halloween and Christmas. As the years went by and physical limitations crept in, Ron adapted and discovered a newfound passion for the casino. He enjoyed the thrill of chance and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts; every visit was an adventure worth remembering. Ron loved telling stories and reminiscing about the past with people.
Ron will be dearly missed and leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter through his surviving family members, including his daughters: Vicki (Dave) Vowell, Jamie (Jason Sanders) Zolcienski; granddaughters: Shelby Vowell, Kailey Vowell; brother, Lawrence Zolcienski; sister, Pat Baker; many nieces and nephews who will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Tristan Brooks.
As we say our goodbyes, let us remember that life is but a journey, and Ron's road was filled with twists, turns, and plenty of laughter along the way. May his spirit continue to shine bright, guiding us through both the sunny days and the stormy nights. Rest in peace, Ron. And may your heavenly adventures be filled with endless puns and witty banter. May Ron's spirit find eternal peace, and may his memory live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
A private gathering will be held to honor and celebrate Ron's memory and life at a later date, where stories and laughter will flow freely, just as he would have wanted. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family for his final arrangements, or the family is also kindly requesting donations be made in Ron's name to a charity of your choice.
