JACQUELINE "Jackie" MAE ROESKE,
91, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2022 with her devoted caregivers at her side. Jackie battled long and hard with dementia which brought her to reside in Cary’s Young at Heart for the past few years where she was surrounded with loving care. As they will tell you, she may have been tiny in stature, but her personality was vibrant and feisty at heart. She never failed to speak her mind and let you know how she was feeling. She was born August 21, 1931 in Kingston to William and Cenith (Plane) Barron. Jackie married Frank Woidan in 1950 and together they had two children: Vicki and Scott. Frank unexpectedly passed away in 1972. In 1975, Jackie remarried to Gerald (Gerry) Roeske. Fate brought the two together and they were true soulmates for the next 35 years, until his passing in 2010.
Following Jackie’s retirement from Walbro, the two frequently enjoyed long lunch drives just to relish in the scenery as well as one another’s company. They spent their time gardening and landscaping at their lovely farm on the hill in Kingston. Jackie and Jerry entertained overnight visits from their grandchildren. They relaxed with a “toddy” on the porch after dinner, while watching the sunset over their pond full of goldfish. Although Jackie will be missed deeply, her family and friends are grateful for them to be reunited. They truly had a beautiful relationship. A novel-like love story, just like those that Jackie frequently read and appreciated in her spare time.
Jackie is survived by her son, Scott (Dawn) Woidan; son-in-law, Ron Stolzman; grandchildren: Heather (Jeremy) Forrest, Tanya (Cory) Kulinski, Dustin (Zak Mohler) Stolzman, Kimberly Stolzman; great grandchildren; sister, Sharon (Dave) Isham; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Laverne, Bill, Jerry, and Jim; sisters: Shirley and Susie; daughter, Vicki; grandson, Scott.
