ROSALINE MARY REINELT,
75, of Kingston, died unexpectedly Tuesday, November 15, 2011 in Covenant Medical Center Harrison Campus, Saginaw. She was born December 5, 1935 in Sidney, NE to Hugh and Helen (Mohatt) Cortney. She married George Joseph Reinelt October 14, 1954 in Kimball, NE. He died November 13, 1982.
Rose worked as a telephone operator for a time when she was younger. She later took a job with the Kingston Community Schools as a cook, retiring after many years of service to the school district and the students she cooked for. Rose was an avid Detroit Tiger fan and Nebraska Cornhuskers fan. She loved to play card games with her grandchildren, and enjoyed cheating at Euchre. Rose played Dominoes with the group at Beagios every week. A special treat was riding on the motorcycles of her sons and son-in-law. Rose particularly enjoyed visiting with family and friends and enjoyed practical jokes.
Rose is survived by her children: Rick (Ann) Reinelt of Vassar, Sheila (Arnie) Rock of Caro, Mike (Faith) Reinelt of Cottonwood, AL, Martin Reinelt of Bridgeman, Jeff (Melissa) Reinelt of Gaylord; grandchildren: Tyler Reinelt, Sarah Reinelt, Jessica (Tim) Harrington, Robert (Sarah) Reinelt, Christine (Dan) Healey, Jacob (Holli) Reinelt, Amber (Robert) Bader, Darrin Conely, Caylin Conely, Paige Reinelt, Katie Reinelt, Brad (Danielle) Reinelt, Josh (Ashton) Reinelt, and Christopher Reinelt; great grandchildren: Ace, Ellie, Grace, Jordan, Cooper, Emma and her seventh great grandchild due in December; sister, Nancy Cortney of Belmont; sisters-in-law: Ruth Cortney of Las Vegas, NV, Dorena Langenburg of Argyle, Alvina Sparks of Oregon; brother-in-law, David (Veda) Reinelt of Sandusky; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Francis Cortney, Ron Cortney, Father Ed Cortney; sister, Rita McNamee.
Funeral service held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, November 19, 2011 in St. Michael Catholic Church with Rev. Paul Megge of St. Mary/St. Charles Catholic Church, Cheboygan and Sr. Riccardina Silvestri officiating. Interment will be in St. Michael Cemetery, Wilmot. Pallbearers for Rose: Robert Reinelt, Jacob Reinelt, Darrin Conely, Robert Bader, Tim Harrington, Tyler Reinelt and Dan Healey. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
