NANCY R. RAYMOND,
55, of Deford, died unexpectedly Thursday, April 4, 2013 in Hills & Dales General Hospital. She was born October 5, 1957 in Bad Axe to James Don and Marguerite June (Griggs) Nicol. She married Kim Raymond March 31, 1979 in Elkton.

Nancy was a loving wife, mom and grandma. She was a great cook and enjoyed preparing food for her family and friends. When Nancy chose a task, whether work or pleasure, she focused intensely on that task. She taught herself how to rebuild computers. She enjoyed redecorating including painting and wallpapering. At one time she made many teddy bears for family and friends. Nancy loved all kinds of music. She got a great deal of enjoyment from making mix CD's for family members and friends.

Nancy is survived by her husband, Kim; children: Chad Raymond of Deford, Kimberly Raymond of Deford; grandchildren: Alexi and James; mother, Marguerite Nicol of Wilmot; brothers and sisters: Christine (Charles) Cummings of Wilmot, Charles (Cheryl) Nicol of Wilmot, Brenda Blackwell of Wilmot, James Alex Nicol of Ypsilanti, Carl (Carol) Nicol of Cass City, David (Mimi) Nicol of Cass City, Tracy Nicol of Wilmot, Mark (Jessica) Nicol of Rochester Hills; Kim's siblings: David (Sandy) Raymond of Saginaw, Cheryl (Charles) Nicol of Wilmot, Gregory (Rose) Raymond of Caro, Debrah Raymond of Cass City; mother-in-law, Ardith Molnar of Cass City; many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service held 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Chaplain Gary Eaken, I.F.O.C., officiating. Memorials may be made to Compassionate Friends. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
