LANA JEAN PUTERBAUGH,
60, of Snover, died Friday, September 4, 2015 in her home with her family by her side. She was born July 2, 1955 in Cass City to Ryerson and Dorothy (Pallas) Puterbaugh.
Lana graduated from Cass City High School in 1973. She attended Delta College for a short time, studying photography. Lana worked on the family dairy farm for many years. She was also an Independent Consultant for Tupperware for many years. She was a member of Shabbona Community of Christ Church for most of her life. Lana enjoyed sewing, crocheting, taking pictures and playing cards, especially Euchre and Canasta, and felt if there were four people in the room they should be playing cards. Lana loved working in her flower and vegetable gardens. She enjoyed the canning and baking that went along with the harvest. Lana volunteered as a 4H leader when Klyn was a child. She was caregiver to her parents in their final years. Lana knew many people and had many friends, she will be dearly missed.
Lana is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Klyn and John Fowler of Snover; brother, Larry Puterbaugh of Snover; sister, June (Duane) Samons of Snover; sisters-in-law: Nancy Peuterbaugh of Shelby Township, Patricia Peters of Emmett; nieces and nephews: Kurt (Cari) Puterbaugh of Snover, Ashley (Antoin) Akl of Watertown, MA, Renee (Jeremy) Bolsby of Snover, Jason (Lisa) Samons of Snover, Jessica (Brian) Doran of Howell, Andy (Kristen) Cherniawski of Snover, Candice (D.J.) Muska of Gagetown; great nephews: Caden, Westin, Cole, Casen; many half nieces and nephews; great and great great nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by nephew, Brian Puterbaugh; parents, Ryerson and Dorothy Puterbaugh; half brothers: Chester (Mildred) Peuterbaugh, Bruce Peuterbaugh, Harold Peters.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 8, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Elder Judy Doerr and Elder Karen Bouverette of Community of Christ Church officiating. Interment will be in Evergreen Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Lana: John Fowler, Jason Samons, Andy Cherniawski, Kurt Puterbaugh, Timmy Puterbaugh, Duane Samons.
