Terry L. Prosowski, 63, of Cass City, died Thursday, June 8, 2017 in St. Mary's of Michigan, Saginaw following a brief and unexpected illness. She was born July 13, 1953 in Detroit to William Earl and Ruth Lucille (Scott) Griffith. She married Alan Edward Prosowski October 26, 1974 in St. Clair Shores.
Terry graduated from South Lake High School, St. Clair Shores in 1972. She worked for Basset Engineering and then General Cable for fifteen years. Terry enjoyed her part time job as a crossing guard for Cass City Public Schools and also worked part time for Erla's Grocery Store in the bakery. She was a good cook, known for her homemade potato salad and perch dinners. She enjoyed playing solitaire, gardening, working crossword puzzles and watching TV, especially Deadliest Catch and Food Network. Terry loved attending her children and grandchildren's school and sporting events. Together Terry and Al made cider and donuts each fall.
Terry is survived by her husband, Alan; children: Alan (Carrie) Prosowski of Auburn, Christine (fiancé Brian Zuzga) Prosowski of Unionville, Michael (Kristin Hedley) Prosowski of Elkton; grandchildren: Nathan Prosowski, Noah Prosowski, Kailey Becker, Mason Becker; brother-in-law: Milton Phillips of Cass City; mother-in-law, Anita Prosowski; sisters-in-law: Barbara Prosowski, Linda (Dennis) Regnerus; many nieces and nephews. Terry will also be missed by her special pet friend, her dachshund, Abby. Funeral service held 3 p.m. Saturday, June 10, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Christian Tabares of Our Lady Consolata Parish officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cass City Historical Society.
