CHRISTINA JO PROCHILO,
48, of Cass City, died following a lengthy illness, Monday, February 24, 2020 in Covenant Medical Center Cooper Campus, Saginaw. She was born July 12, 1971 in Bellflower, CA to Carleton and Deborah (Zook) Thibeault.
Christina attended Palm Springs High School in California. For the last nine years, she has worked as a medical assistant with Recovery Pathways of Essexville. Christina enjoyed walleye fishing in the Saginaw Bay with her step father, Dennis. She was fond of reading, her favorite author being Sandra Brown. Christina was an animal lover; her favorites being owls, turtles, giraffes and her Chihuahua mix, Will. She loved Sunday family dinners, spending time with her grandson, Theo and making memories at Johnson Pumpkin Farm and during Zehnder’s Ice Fest.
Christina is survived by her daughter, Chyenne (fiancé, Jack Martin) Novinski of Sebewaing; son, Joseph Thibeault of Vassar; grandson, Theo Martin; her mother, Deborah (Dennis) Rasmussen of Cass City; her father, Carleton (Margo) Thibeault of Palm Springs, CA; sister, Cynthia Lee Teggart of Roseville; step-siblings: Mitchell (Richelle) Rasmussen of Sparta; Brook McKinstry of Hastings; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Floyd and Dorothy Zook; uncle, Clayton Thibeault.
Funeral service held 7:00 p.m. Friday, February 28, 2020 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Sam Leppert, Funeral Service Celebrant officiating. Memorials may be made to Chyenne Novinski for Theo Martin’s education fund. Interment will take place in Elkland Township Cemetery at a later time.
