July 2, 1961 — March 22, 2003

Ronda L. Schenk Powell, 41, of Deford, died peacefully in her home Saturday, March 22, 2003. She was born July 2, 1961 in Cass City to Sonny and Judy (Gretz) Schenk. She married Noal G. Powell, Jr., Valentines Day, February 14, 2003 in Potters House Church, Cass City.

Ronda worked as a Community Health Representative for Saginaw Intertribal. She served on the FEMA Board. Ronda was a member of Potters House Church in Cass City. She was very active helping battered and abused women in the area and cared for many neglected and abused children. Ronda loved the wilderness, music and gardening with Noal. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, hunting, making dream catchers and truly loved functions with her family and friends. Ronda was a very giving, loving person. She was loved by everyone who knew her.

Ronda is survived by her husband, Noal; children: Tammy Ann Spencer of Caro, Aaron Spencer of Caro; father, Sonny (Shirley) Schenk of Gagetown; mother, Judy (Thomas) Rehmus of Essexville; grandson, Ethan Finkbeiner; sisters: Lisa A. (Lance) Powell of Gagetown, Kristine (Frank Litner) Schenk of Unionville, Dawn E. Schenk of Caro, Teri M. (Dave) Osentoski of Cass City, Andrew Teague of Gagetown, Tom R. (Jennifer) Rehmus of Bay City; mother-in-law and father-in- law, Noal and Gloria Powell of Kingston; sisters-in-law, Wendy (Ron) Lester of Gagetown, Jessie (Pat) McDonald of Gagetown; stepsons: Nathan MacAlpine, Noal Powell III; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. She is preceded in death by an infant son, Matthew Allen Spencer; grandparents: Helen and Orville Healy, Pearl and August Schenk.

Funeral services held at 6:00 p.m., Monday, March 24, 2003 at Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City, with Rev. Robert Tucker of Potters House Church, officiating. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice.

Visitation: 1 to 6 p.m. Monday, March 24, 2003
