MARYJANE POWELL
Maryjane Powell, 79, of Kingston, died following a brief illness Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Huron Medical Center, Bad Axe. She was born June 13, 1938 in Clifford to Dewey and Louisa (Bader) Armstrong. She married Donald Joseph Powell June 18, 1960 in Clifford.
Maryjane graduated from Kingston High School in 1959. She was skilled at crafting, crocheting and needlepoint were her favorites. Maryjane was a proud and active member of Kingston Wesleyan Church. She enjoyed time spent outdoors gardening and working in her flowerbeds.
Maryjane is survived by her husband, Donald; daughters: Roxann (Tony) Washburn of Flint; Annette (Chris) Powell-Evans of Oolitic, Indiana; Rosalie (Lyle) Church of Owosso; grandchildren: Erica (Donny) Pease, Jason Washburn, Brandon Washburn, Rachel Dusseau, Jonathon Dusseau, Josh (Kayla) Dusseau, Katie (Craig) Fender, Hope (Jerek) Stanger, Jennifer (Shawn) Groosbeck, James Fowler, Jasmine Church; 18 great grandchildren; great great grandson, Legend Freeman; her mother, Louisa Armstrong; brother, Roland (Judy) Armstrong of Marlette; sisters: Pat (Dale) McMann of Loveland, CO; Inthamae (John) Curson of Mayville; Sandra (Butch) Bowler of Gould City; Laura Giddings of Marquette; Glenda (Andy) Tallieu of Kingston. She is preceded in death by her father, Dewey Armstrong.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2018 in Kingston Wesleyan Church with Rev. Len Wyatt officiating. Interment will be in Kingston Cemetery.
