Susie "Squirrel" Pomeroy, 57, of Deford, died Thursday, December 13, 2012 in Covenant HealthCare, Cooper Campus, Saginaw. She was born February 9, 1955 in Cass City to Armond and Wilda (Fee) Curtis. She married Frederick Pomeroy in Caro on October 24, 2002. Susie and Fred had been together since 1986.
Susie graduated from Cass City High School. She worked at Millennium in Cass City and Midwest Rotary in Caro. Susie was an avid Red Wings fan and enjoyed watching them on TV. She loved Mickey Mouse and collecting clowns. Susie enjoyed listening to the Beatles and playing scrabble. Most importantly, Susie enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her life. Susie never wanted her time spent with her family time to end.
Susie is survived by her husband, Fred; children: Tarah (William) Miller of Freeland, Kyle Pomeroy of Deford, Amber Gast of Cass City, Ashley (Brandon) Cathers of Bay Port, Brandi Pomeroy of California, Brook Pomeroy of Washington, Sarah Becker of California, Staci Pomeroy of Caro, Fredrick Pomeroy, Jr. of Saginaw; 23 granchildren; brothers: Dale "Buck" Curtis of Bad Axe, Scott (Jeanette) Curtis of Tennessee; sisters: Maureen Frederick of Caro, Marsha (Mark) Sipes of Vassar; several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers: John Curtis, Dennis Curtis, Armond "Spike" Curtis; sisters: Lorraine Remsing and Diane Curtis.
Funeral service held 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 16, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Raymond Shamel, Church of the Nazarene officiating..
