Chloris "Spike" Pomeroy Jr., 77, of Cass City died Saturday, February 25, 2017 in Northwood Meadows Medical Care Unit. He was born August 28, 1939 in Wyandotte to Chloris "Fritz" and Marion Aleen (Ainsworth) Pomeroy.
Spike graduated from Unionville High School in 1958. He was employed as a journeyman electrician. In younger years Spike enjoyed snow skiing and rock climbing. He loved outdoor activities including deer hunting and duck hunting. Two of his favorite pastimes were flying model airplanes and attending air shows.
Spike is survived by his daughters: Kristie Pomeroy of Loveland, CO; Heidi (Don Reest) Lemans of Lapeer; grandchildren: Alexys Lemans, Garrett Pomeroy, Dylan Pomeroy, Zachary Lemans, Sydni Lemans; sister, Carole Thomas of Holiday, FL; nephew, Brian Thomas; niece, Locki Johnroe. He is preceded in death by his son, Patrick Pomeroy.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 1, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Jackie Roe of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in Hickory Island Cemetery, Akron Township. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
