Hellen Pohlod, 84, of Kingston, died Saturday, November 29, 2008 at Tendercare in Cass City following a brief illness.
She was born September 11, 1924 in Clifford, MI, daughter of the late Alex and Mary (Strelezyk) Woloshen.
Hellen was united in marriage to John Pohlod, June 24, 1944 in Kingston. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2008.
She had been employed at General Cable in Cass City for many years. She enjoyed quilting and was an avid reader.
Surviving are two sons and spouses; Roger, (Mary Ann) Pohlod, Deford; Daniel (Virginia) Pohlod, Kingston; grandchildren; Nicholas (Michele) Pohlod, Damian (Lindy) Pohlod, Victor Pohlod, Adrian (Candy) Pohlod, Andrea Pohlod, Tina (Todd) Bundschuh,
Bryon (Amanda) Pohlod; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Kate, Bradley, Kylie, Jeffrey, Justine, Colton, Allison and Haley; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Michael and John Woloshen.
The funeral service will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 2, 2008 at the Kranz Funeral Home in Kingston, Debra L. Kranz, Funeral Service Celebrant will officiate with burial in the Kingston Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Kranz Funeral Home in Kingston from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, and from 10 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
