RONALD BERNARD PETERS
Ronald B. Peters, 73, of Cass City, died Monday, February 5, 2007 in St. Marys Medical Center, Saginaw. He was born August 28, 1933 in Argyle to Virgel and Sophie (Konkel) Peters. He married Nancy Carol Linderman June 15, 1957 in Memphis, TN. She died July 20, 1998.
Ron graduated from Cass City High School. After his graduation he joined the Merchant Marines. Ron came home after three or four years, to help his dad with the saw mill. Ron worked in the lumbering industry his whole life. He was head Sawyer for a timber company and owned his own company in Cass City with his brother for over 20 years. He also worked cutting and skidding wood in the Upper Peninsula for many years. Ron was a lifetime member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church and was a member of the Knights of Columbus #8892. He loved the woods and being out of doors.
Ron is survived by his children: Sue (Wally) Laming of Cass City, Steve (Tammy) Peters of Glennie; grandchildren: Michael Peters, Kelly (Steve) VanLeuvan, Cory Laming; great grandchildren: Marissa, Lyndsey, Jacob, Evan; sisters: Pat (Howard) Kelly of Curtisville, Mary Lou Kerr of Bay City; brothers: Larry (Harriet) Peters of Cass City, Dwaine Peters of Cass City, Randy (Julie) Peters of Sherwood; sister-in-law, Judy Peters of Allegan; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandson, Jamie Peters; brothers: Gordon Peters, Vernie Peters, Roger Peters
Funeral service held 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in St. Pancratius Catholic Church with Rev. Stephen J. Fillion officiating. Memorials may be made to St. Pancratius Catholic Church.
