Alice M. Peters, 54, of Cass City, died following a short illness, Tuesday, August 18, 2015 in Covenant Medical Center Cooper Campus Saginaw. She was born August 7, 1961 in Yale to Harold and Hazel (Kritzman) Peters.
Alice graduated from C.O.O.R. Intermediate School District in Roscommon. She loved to watch sports on television especially football and baseball. The Detroit Lions were her favorite team. Alice participated in the Special Olympics in a variety of events but enjoyed basketball the most. She liked to "read" books and watch movies. Her favorite pastime was listening to country music especially Kenny Rogers and Charlie Pride
Alice is survived by her siblings: Fred (Mary) Peters of Nuevo, CA, Janet (John) Laszlo of Deford, Linda Peters of Roseville, Dean (Darlene) Peters of Howell, David (Kathy) Peters of Macomb; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and one great great nephew; sister-in-law, Michele Peters of Battle Creek; aunts: Mrs. Marie Plevin of East China, Mrs. Beatrice Fox of Indianapolis, IN. She will also be missed by her second family at Johnson Adult Foster Care, Peggy Johnson and all her family and friends that were so good to Alice for so many years.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 22, 2015 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. Charles Hammond of Good Shepherd Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church Argyle officiating. Interment will be in St. Ignatius Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Special Olympics Michigan or Great Start Tuscola Imagination Library.
