HARVEY ALMOND PELTON
Harvey A. Pelton, 93, of Clarksville, formerly of Deford, died Thursday, June 10, 2004 after a short illness, in Tendercare Nursing Facility, Hastings. He was born December 9, 1910 in Deford to Edgar and Harriett (Powell) Pelton. He married Bernice Cliff February 11, 1939 in Gagetown. She died October 10, 1990.
Harvey was a dairy farmer. He worked and lived on the family farm in Deford that had been owned by his family since 1880. He was a former member of Farm Bureau. Harvey was recently reunited with a daughter (and her family), whom he had not seen since her birth, 65 years ago.
Harvey is survived by his children: Linda Blivens of Madison Heights, Gerald (Wanda) Pelton of Gainesville, TX, Janice (Lou) Horner of Clarksville, Duane Pelton of Kingston, Marlene (Gary) Malhado of Marble Falls, AK; 17 grandchildren; many great grandchildren; two great great granddaughters; brother, Chester Pelton of Florida; sisters: Mary Collins of North Branch, Gladys �"Harriett” Crittenden of Florida; many nieces and nephews. Harvey is preceded in death by his brother, Ambros Pelton; sisters: Susan Gray who died in 2003 at the age of 100, Jessiebell Hill, Edna Mackie and Maybelle Gaudreau.
Funeral services to be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 12, 2004 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Interment is in Novesta Township Cemetery, Cass City. Friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com
