PAULA LOUISE DOHN

Paula L. Dohn, 83, of Deford, formerly of Gould City, passed away with family by her side on Friday, September 22, 2023 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro.  She was born January 13, 1940 in Harrisburg, PA to Francis Peter and Paula Louise (Urbanos) Hogan II.   Paula married the love of her life, James Dohn on March 17, 1962.  He died September 14, 2020. They are now reunited again in Heaven.     

Paula graduated from East Detroit High School in 1957.  She attended Virginia Ferrell Beauty School and received a cosmetology certificate.  Paula retired from Walbro as a parts inspector.  She really enjoyed cooking and baking.  Paula was known for making the best potato pancakes and lemon meringue pie.  Her hobbies included cross stitching many beautiful pieces that are now framed into pictures.  Paula enjoyed coloring with friends and family, she sure had a way to beautifully blend colors.  She also thoroughly found peace and enjoyment in reading and studying the Bible.  Paula    cherished and looked forward to daily calls with her grandson Rodney and daily emails from her sister Reene. 

Paula is survived by her children:  Sherryl (Ronald) Spencer of Catawba, WI; Marc (Tricia) Dohn of Gould City; grandchildren:  Rodney (Pam) Spencer, Rochelle (Jesse) Robinson, Rusty (Payton) Spencer, Danielle (Matt) Demaray, David (Kathy) Spencer; great-grandchildren:  Delaney, Adam, Alaina, Dakota, Reyna; siblings:  Maureen Ford, Thomas (Patrica) Hogan, Karen (Ray) Colia.    

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of fifty-eight years, James; brother, Francis Hogan III, brother-in-law, Bobby Ford.

Respecting her wishes, cremation has taken place.  A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
