JULIE ANN PATTERSON,
51, of Warren, formerly of Cass City, died Thursday, October 26, 2017 at home in Warren following a long battle with cancer. She was born October 3, 1966 in Cass City to James and Joann (Zawilinski) Smithson. She married Barry Patterson June 22, 1991 in Cass City.
Julie graduated from Cass City High School in 1984. She attended Central Michigan University, graduating in 1990. Julie worked for Harbor Oaks Hospital in Administration. She was a homemaker, a former Girl Scout Leader, and enjoyed playing euchre and reading fiction.
Julie is survived by her husband, Barry; daughters: Megan Patterson and Kelsey Patterson; mother, Joann Smithson of Cass City; brothers: Jim (Debi Poiser) Smithson of Fort Wayne, IN, Jeff (Gretchen Gersonde) Smithson of St. Joseph; grandmother, Marge Zawilinski of Cass City. She is preceded in death by her father, James Smithson; grandparents, John Zawilinski, Roy Smithson and Alice Smithson.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. Christian Tabares of Our Lady Consolata Parish, officiating. Burial will take place in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
