JOHN FRANKLIN PARSONS,
73, of Cass City died following a short illness Saturday, January 21, 2012 in his home surrounded in love by his wife. He was born April 11, 1938 in Mt. Carbon, WV to Gillie and Minnie (Collins) Parsons. He married Loretta Hoxie July 14, 1992 in Detroit.
John worked for Chrysler as a Die Setter retiring after 33 years. He enjoyed deer hunting in his younger years. John enjoyed life and his family and friends.
John is survived by his wife, Loretta; children: Christina Parsons of Mt. Clemens, Minny (Joseph) Sparks of Warren, Dora (Dave) Caloni of Hazel Park, Ekatrina (Michael) Smigiel of Bruce Township; grandchildren: Michael, Krystal, John Henry, Matthew, Jeremy, Nicholas, Stephanie, Shane, Sierra; great granddaughter, Kaylee; brothers: Bill, Fred and Lloyd; sisters: Shirley, Emma and Hazel; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, John Howard Parsons; sisters: Ruth and Ilene; brothers: Howard, Gilbert Lee and Jimmy.
Funeral service held 6:00 p.m. Friday, January 27, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Claude Thayer of Living Word Worship Center officiating. Interment will be in Ellington Township Cemetery, Caro. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
