ANDREW "ANDY" JAY PARKER,
57, of Decker, died following a short illness Wednesday, March 12, 2014 in Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. He was born September 8, 1956 at home in Decker to Earl and Mildred (Hartley) Parker.
Andy worked for Schwan's Food Service as a delivery person and salesman. He worked for Jays Potato Chip Company in New York for about nine years. Andy's most recent job was as a Quality Inspector for U S Manufacturing Corporation in Warren where he worked for over 12 years. Andy loved hunting and watching the animals from his home. He enjoyed deer, rabbit, turkey and pheasant hunting. He also enjoyed four wheeling. Andy was a member of the NRA, ABATE of Michigan and attended many activities at Cass City Gun Club.
Andy is survived by his children: Andrew (Shannon) Parker, II of Sterling Heights, Sheilah Parker of Berkley, Jeremy Parker of Marlette; grandchildren: Trey, Alex, Ryan and Jackson; sisters: Karen (Tom) Barr of Decker, Ellen Horne of Cass City; brother, Randy Parker of Mayville; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Kelda Parker; brothers: Larry Parker and Gary Parker and his parents.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Jackie Roe of Cass City United Methodist Church, officiating.
