DANIEL LEE NICHOLAS
72, of Cass City, died Sunday, November 20, 2022 in Select Specialty Hospital, Saginaw. He was born September 26, 1950 in Cass City to Floyd and Martha (Preba) Nicholas.
Daniel graduated from Cass City High School in 1970. He worked for Walbro in Cass City as a janitor and later was hired full time. Dan also worked for Sommers Bakery and Marlette Homes, where he shingled homes. Later, he was employed by Cole Carbide until he retired. Dan also maintained a beautiful lawn and enjoyed gardening. He diligently kept his cars clean; this was important to him. Dan spoiled his little dog, Maggie, with long walks and car rides. He had a wonderful, friendly smile and loved talking to people. Dan had a heart of gold. Together, he and Terry relished rides around the lake to check on the fish. Dan also appreciated his friends, especially Dave Geiger who was close to him.
Daniel is survived by his siblings: Judy (Larry) Merchant of Cass City; Mary (Richard) Tate of Cass City; Ken Nicholas of Cass City; Rose (James) Apley of Cass City; Terry (Melinda) Nicholas of Cass City; sister-in-law, Linda Nicholas of Sanford; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Eugene Nicholas, Les Nicholas, Paul Nicholas.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2022 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City officiating.
