Louis Nemeth, 89, of Cass City, died Tuesday, March 13, 2007 in St Marys Medical Center in Saginaw .
He was born December 11, 1917 in the Delray area of Detroit, son of the late Charles and Veron (Kocsis ) Nemeth. He married Grace Brewton ( Rothfuss ), October 2,1965 in Cass City. She preceded him in death on January 24, 2001.
Louis was a machine operator, truck driver and service man for Active Homes in Marlette. He also drove a school bus for the Cass City schools and was employed as a custodian at Hills & Dales Hospital in Cass City before retiring on disability in 1980. In 1999, he and Grace moved to Las Vegas, NV. Following Graces death in 2001, he returned to Cass City.
He was an active member of the Democratic party, as well as the Caro Moose Lodge #1049, the Red Rock Moose Lodge in Las Vegas and the Cass City United Methodist Church. He was also an active supporter of the Charles Younglove Kidney Foundations annual fund-raising golf tournament.
Surviving are one son, Monte; two stepsons, Keith (Gail) Baudoin, Las Vegas, NV; John (Maria) Brewton, Taylor, MI; one son-in-law, Bob Fischer, Cass City; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; also three brothers, Eddie Nemeth, Kingston; John (Marge) Nemeth, Sacramento, CA and Alec Nemeth, Ewing, VA;, also many nieces and nephews He was preceded in death by an infant brother, another brother, Charles, Jr., and daughter, Karen Fischer.
Cremation has taken place at Sunset Valley Crematory in Bay City.
A memorial service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2007 at the Cass City United Methodist Church. Rev. Paul G. Donelson will officiate with interment in the Novesta Twp. Cemetery.
The family will accept friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. Saturday until the time of service at 2 p.m..
