ANNA MARIE NEAL
Anna M. Neal, 95, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 21, 2007 in her daughter’s home. She was born October 3, 1912 in Saginaw to Paul and Victoria (Ruzak) Petricevic. She married Deloss Edward Neal May 7, 1932 in Saginaw. He died May 21, 1976.
Anna was a life member of Gagetown Church of the Nazarene for over 58 years. She was a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Missionary Society. Anna was a very active member of her church. Anna worked for Gerald and Geraldine Prieskorn in the Ben Franklin Store until her retirement at age 78. She was a great cook and a fantastic seamstress. She loved gardening, canning, traveling and working with her flowers. Anna enjoyed reading the Bible and she loved and prayed for her family.
Anna is survived by her children: James (Joyce) Neal of Crossville, TN, Jeannette (Lynwood) LaPeer of Cass City, Shirley (Danny) Haag of Cass City; daughter-in-law, Janice Neal of Fairgrove; grandchildren: Ed (Val McDonald) Neal Jr., Scott Neal, Brent (Judy) Neal, Janet (Mike) Darrah, Jim Neal II, Jeanne (Fred) Quinn, Jackie (Tom) VanTress, Randy LaPeer, Daryl (Eva) LaPeer, Sheree (Wilson) LaPeer-Sakudya, Shelley (Michael) Wiederhold, Nathan (Mandy) Haag; 25 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren; sister, Eva McNenley of Mt. Morris; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Neal, September 29, 2007; brothers: Eli Petricevic, Gasper Petricevic; sisters: Kathryn DeMeat, Rose Young, and Julia Mead.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 25, 2007 in Gagetown Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Donald Ault and Pastor Ben Walls officiating. Memorials may be made to Gagetown Church of the Nazarene. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Neal: Nathan Haag, Mike Wiederhold, Scott Neal, Jim Neal II, Fred Quinn.
