GARY EMMITT NANNEY,
50, of Cass City, died unexpectedly Monday, December 13, 2010 in Covenant Medical Center Cooper Campus, Saginaw. He was born May 29, 1960 in Dearborn to Euin Eugene “Gene” and Carol J. (Murry) Nanney. He married Cynthia Kay Hack January 23, 1997 in Paducah, KY.

Gary owned and operated Nanney’s Logging. He previously worked for Shawn Papp and Son’s Logging in Decker. Gary loved being outside. He enjoyed his four wheelers, his snowmobile and particularly loved his motorcycle. He also enjoyed deer hunting with his wife. Gary enjoyed and was proud to work with his sons, Gary and Frank. Gary made himself known with his big voice and a big heart to match.

Gary is survived by his wife, Cynthia; children: Gary Gene (Tonya Johnson) Nanney of Caro, Kristen Marie Kelley of Caro, Frank Lee (Heidi Pomeroy) Stinson III of Cass City, Courtney Kaye Stinson of Cass City; grandchildren: Trent, Cody, Baylee, Breeanna, Bradon; mother, Carol Nanney of Bay City; brothers: Ron (Sharon) Nanney of Grayling, Guy (Kathie) Nanney of Port Hope; sisters: Lois (Stephen) Papp of Cass City, Terry (Blaise) Posluszny of Bay City; brother-in-law, Joseph Vanderhoof of Grayling; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Gene Nanney and sister, Renie Vanderhoof.

Private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
