BESSIE AUDREY MUNTZ,
89, of Cass City, died Friday, January 8, 2010 in Covenant Harrison, Saginaw. She was born May 23, 1920 at home to William and Margaret “Maggie” (Gascho) Craig. She married Chester V Muntz May 25, 1940 in her parent’s home in Elkton. He died January 25, 2006.
Bessie worked for Walbro for 27 years, time card #1. She was a member of Cass City First Presbyterian Church and a member of Elmwood Quilters Club. Bessie was a Brownie helper and a Sunday School helper. She enjoyed reading and was an avid quilter making over 30 quilts, in addition she worked on many donated quilts through the Presbyterian Church.
Bessie is survived by her daughters: Connie Ann (Jerry) Vandemark of Deford, Judith Carolyn Knoph of Cass City: grandchildren: Brian (Kaylene) Vandemark, Annette Sue (Bryan) Toner, Jodi Knoph, Jackie (Rob) Thomas; great grandchildren: Bridgett, and Andrew Vandemark, Brenda (Chad) Middaugh, Justin (Ashley) Toner, Chantell Toner, Robbie, Audrey, and John Thomas; great great grandchildren: Trinity and Jacob Middaugh; brother, Glenn (Ethel) Craig of Elkton; sisters-in-law: Fay Craig of Cass City, Thelma Craig of Pigeon; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brothers: Blake Craig, Donald Craig.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 11, 2010 in Cass City First Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Blackburn officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery.
