JACOB LOUIS MOZDZEN,
24, of Sebring, FL formerly of Cass City, passed away Saturday, April 22, 2017 in Highlands County, FL. He was born July 13, 1992 in Cass City to Mark and Sandi (Kapa) Mozdzen.
Jake attended Cass City schools and later graduated from Riverview High School in Riverview, FL. After graduation Jake worked as a CNC Operator for several companies including Cole Carbide and MiTech for several years. He also loved his part time job as First Mate for a charter boat company in Port Austin. In Florida, he worked as a Superintendent with J & M Steel Company. Jake enjoyed all sports from shooting hoops, playing softball and baseball, to snowboarding-you name it and he would try it. His passion was working on cars and recreating masterpieces. Jake was a seasonal sportsman who enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, turkey hunting and bow hunting. Jake's love of nature found him spending as much time outside as possible and brought him great peace and joy. He had a personality that was magnetic and a smile that would warm your heart. Jake loved everybody he came in contact with and brought smiles to everyone he met. Jake was loved by everyone including his family and friends and will be deeply missed.
Jake is survived by his daughter, Brooklynn Mozdzen of Owendale; mother, Sandi Mozdzen of Sebring, FL; father, Mark (Julie) Mozdzen of Deford; siblings: Jordon (Alex) Mozdzen of Houghton Lake, Kenny Grady of Cass City, Kendra Grady of Deford; grandparents: Louis and Judy Kapa of Mayville, Jennie Mozdzen of Deford; Les and Bev Auten of Cass City; aunts and uncles: Dave (Cindy) Kapa of Mayville, Don Kapa of Mayville, Todd Brown of Mayville, Carla (Kurt) Beck of Houghton Hancock, Christy (Mike) Cunningham of Battle Creek, Greg (Laura) McCrory of Skidway Lake, Ronnie (Danielle) McCrory of Marlette, Al (Jeri) Mozdzen of Hale, Ronald (Marcia) Mozden of Deford, Margie Mozden of Deford, Gerald (Shelley) Mozden of Evart, Edward (Karen) Mozden of Deford, Julie (Brian) Dasinger of Bellvue, CO. He will also be remembered by many cousins whom he loved dearly. Jake is preceded in death by his grandfather, Adolph Mozdzen; aunt, Shari Brown.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 in Novesta Church of Christ, Cass City with Brad Speirs officiating. Interment will be in Novesta Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Jacob will be: Jordon Mozdzen, Kenny Grady, Steven Rychlewski, Brandon Diem, Kris Thompson, Taylor Rocheleau. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund.
