EDWARD K. MITCHELL 64
Edward K. Mitchell, 64, of Gagetown, died following a short illness, Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at home with his family by his side. He was born November 8, 1942 at home in Owendale to Lloyd and Genevieve (Santhony) Mitchell. He married Susan Lynn McCoy March 26, 1987 in Sebewaing.
Ed served in the U.S. Navy after high school. He was a driver for U.P.S. for 33 years retiring in 1999. Ed loved the outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, riding his motorcycle, barbequing and working in his garden. He attended St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church in Linkville.
Ed is survived by his wife, Susan; children: Tracy (Michael) Dubs of Bad Axe, Tom (Amy Beauchamp) Mitchell of Owendale, Dawn (Jim) Chapin of Ruth, Roger Paeth of Canton, Josh Paeth of Canton; grandchildren: Chad (Sarah Willingham) Dubs, Derek Dubs, Dustin Kipper, BreeAnna Dubs, Dustin Beauchamp, Austin Mitchell; great grandchildren: Jerome Dubs, Jullian Dubs; sisters: Shirley Nutt of Bay City, EllenJean Chiotti of Swartz Creek; sister-in-law, Sheron (Dan) Pearson of Cobden, IL; brothers-in-law: Joe (Sharon) McCoy of Westland, Bob (Jacque) Daniel of Essexville, Dale Daniel of NY, Donald Daniel of Bay City; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his brother, Frank Mitchell; brother-in-law, Darryl Daniel.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 24, 2007 in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Linkville with Rev. Lee Wenskay officiating. Interment will be in Grant Township Cemetery, Gagetown. Pallbearers for Mr. Mitchell: Dave Peters, Jerry Nowaczyk, Lee Butler, Rick Butler, Don Butler, Lance Agar, Larry Kretzschmer.
