Lawrence D. Miller, 66, of Cass City, formerly of Vassar, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003 in Bay Medical Center, Bay City. He was born July 10, 1936 in Saginaw to George and Dorothy B. (Stein) Miller. He married Janet R. Reynolds January 12, 1961 in Victorville, CA.
Larry served in the U.S. Air Force retiring in 1973 after 20 years. He worked as a machine operator for General Cable Company in Cass City for over 17 years. Larry liked to fish and play bingo. He raised beef cattle.
Larry is survived by his wife, Janet; children: Patricia (David) Field of Deford, Phillip Miller, Cindy Apley of Sebewaing, Lawrence D. (Patricia) Miller Jr. of Deford, Dorothy (Elmer) Reynolds of Shabbona, Laura (Jeff) Rievert of Flint; 19 grandchildren; mother, Dorothy Stein of Vassar; brother, George (Carol) Miller of Vassar; sister, Linda (Donald Jake) Brown of Vassar; several nieces and nephews; five sisters-in-law and their families. He is preceded in death by his father and an infant son, John Watson Miller.
Funeral services held 1:00 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2003 at Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Pastor Eric Holmgren of Cass City First Baptist Church officiating. Interment is in Novesta Township Cemetery. Military honors under the direction of Cass City VFW Post #3644. Memorials may be made to the Family Discretionary Fund.
