Michael David Harper

MICHAEL DAVID HARPER

Michael D. Harper, 53, of Kingston, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 11, 2024 in his home in the company of his family. He was born October 27, 1971 in Sterling Heights.

Michael worked as a line man for a cable company for years. He loved working, especially climbing the poles. He always spoke about how much he enjoyed that before multiple sclerosis took over his body. Michael was an avid outdoorsman and always looked forward to deer hunting and fishing. He also had an appreciation of music. However, nothing brought him more joy than spending time with his daughter, grandchildren, and his nieces and nephews. Michael took great pride in his family. His love, laughter, and warm smile will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Despite the challenges of his illness, he continued to find happiness by spending time with his family and sharing his love of music.

Michael leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Teriona; grandchildren: Lily and Braxton, who were the light of his life; his mother, Virginia Harper; siblings: Tom Harper, Connie Boreman, Bonnie Harper, Robin (Scott) Hendrian, Lori Harper; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry P. Harper and brother, Larry C. Harper. Michael’s family wishes to extend their deepest appreciation to United Hospice Service of Marlette for their care and compassion. 

A gathering to celebrate Michael’s life will take place from 1:00p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025 in the Novesta Church of Christ Fellowship Hall.
