THOMAS “TOMMY” RAY MESTER,
24, of Cass City died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 10, 2011 near his mother’s home. He was born June 9, 1986 in Cass City to George Ray Mester and Belinda Anderson.
Tom previously worked for a dairy farm. Although the work wasn’t his favorite he loved the cows. He currently helped his brother Jason with concrete projects. Tommy truly enjoyed cutting hair and was excellent at it. He enjoyed coon hunting with Jack, who he loved and considered his step dad, and loved the peacefulness of fishing. Tom had a spiritual and creative mind. He put this to use writing song lyrics and singing with friends.
Tom is survived by his mother, Belinda (Jack Edwards) Anderson of Cass City; father, George R. (Chrissy Hill) Mester of Deford; fiancé, Kerry Guinther of Cass City; daughter, Jovi Lee Mester; son, due in July; brother, Jason (Amanda) Mester of Cass City; sister, Jessica (Scott Merrsman) Mester of Cass City; step-brother, Jack Edwards III; grandfather, Wayne “Peewee” Anderson of Cass City; aunt, Jeanne (Pete) Murawski of New Haven; uncle, Jim Anderson of Cass City; many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is preceded in death by his grandmothers: Betty Anderson, Doris Mester; uncles: Johnny Anderson, Bill Mester; aunt, Eileen Mester.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2011 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Brad Speirs of Novesta Church of Christ officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Pallbearers for Tommy: Jason Mester, Steven Anderson, Bill Seltz, Jerry Michaels, Eric Chippi, Scott Merrsman and Jack Edwards III.
