VIRGINIA M. MEREDITH
Virginia M. Meredith, 80, of Snover, died Thursday August 23, 2007 in St. Marys Medical Center, Saginaw. She was born September 24, 1926 in Youngstown, OH to Carl B. and Mary (Cribbs) Wilson. She was married to Morris D. Meredith December 26, 1946 by her father in Wheatland Church, Wheatland Township. He died May 18, 1999.
Virginia retired from General Cable after over 20 years working as a lab technician. She and her husband sang together on a Lapeer Christian Radio Station and recorded several records. She worked as an enumerator for the 1960 census. Virginia was a member of Cass City First Baptist Church. She liked to read and do needlepoint on plastic canvas.
Virginia is survived by her children: Jean Boga of Anchorage, AK, Jerry (Penny) Meredith of Snover, Mary (Chili) Fey of Louisville, KY; grandchildren: Chris (Paula) Boga, Ruth (John Woodbury) Boga, Tracy (David) Fisher, Angela (David) McArthur, Kathryn (Tim) Taylor, Jean (Kelly) Ropp, Donna Wiederhold; great grandchildren; Laci, Mikayla, Meredith, Cody, Hailey, Ethan, Alexis, Kendra, Alicia, Michael, and Richard; sister, Jean (Clarence) Lewis of Coleman; sister-in-law, Belva Tripp of San Diego, CA; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sisters: Inez Stebleton and Helen Lewis.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2007 in Cass City First Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to Cass City First Baptist Church or United Hospice of Marlette. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Austin Township. Family and friends may share memories, prayers and stories with the family at www.kranzfuneralhome.com.
