Martin L. McSkulin II, 29, of Mayville, died Monday, August 25, 2014 in Tuscola County from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was born July 30, 1985 in Lapeer to Martin Lewis and Jamie Kay (VanParis) McSkulin.
Marty formerly worked for McDonald's Restaurant in Sandusky and Bridgewater Interiors in Warren. Marty enjoyed playing video games. He also enjoyed football, basketball, WWE wrestling and was a big University of Michigan fan. Marty liked paintball, swimming and hunting deer with his Dad. He was a kind young man and would do anything for anybody. He truly loved spending time with family.
Marty is survived by his parents, Martin and Jamie; sister, Jessica Kay (Jason) Zyrowski of Saginaw; fiance and her children, Becky Dalrymple, Ann and Denise Suminski, Donavan Dalrymple all of Mayville, Grandpa, Jim VanParis of Cheboygan; Grandma, Nelda McSkulin of Lapeer; aunts: Natalie (Randy) Heck of Standish, Brenda Heidger of Kalamazoo, Nancy (Ed) Czelusniak of Marlette; Uncles: Pat (Allison) VanParis of Edenville, Joe (Kris) McSkulin of Clifford, Robert McSkulin (June Burge) of Attica; several cousins. He is preceded in death by grandmothers: Delta Harley, Judy VanParis; grandfathers: Richard Harley, Martin G. McSkulin.
Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 29, 2014 in Kranz Funeral Home Kingston with Pastor Len Wyatt of Kingston Wesleyan Church officiating. Interment will be in Burlington Cemetery, Silverwood. Memorials may be made to Family Discretionary Fund. Marty's family request that anyone attending the visitation and funeral to please show your Cardinal pride by wearing something with Kingston colors or logo on it or University of Michigan's maize and blue.
