PHYLLIS MARIE MCQUEEN,
79, of Sandusky, formerly of Snover, died following a long illness, Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Sanilac County Medical Care Facility, Sandusky. She was born October 4, 1932 in Bad Axe to Clark Paul and Grace Elizabeth (Sageman) Dunlap. She married Clare McQueen March 10, 1956 in Minden City United Methodist Church. He died October 16, 2001.
Phyllis was a homemaker and Mom. She enjoyed embroidery and loved to cook. Phyllis also loved to take pictures. She was a former member of Shabbona United Methodist Church.
Phyllis is survived by her son, Gordon of Sandusky; sisters: Elaine E. Hass of North Branch, Betty (Richard) Binder of Bad Axe; brother-in-law, George (Marilyn) McQueen of North Fort Myers, FL; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.
Funeral service held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2012 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Pamela Barnett of Shabbona United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Shabbona United Methodist Church, United Hospice of Marlette or Sanilac County Medical Care Facility.
