MARY JOYCE MCNAUGHTON
Mary J. McNaughton, 77, of Cass City, died Saturday, April 23, 2005 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro, after a long illness. She was born March 1, 1928 at home in Kingston to Charles and Gladys (Boughner) Deo. She married Elwyn A. McNaughton November 9, 1946 in Sanilac County. He died December 17, 2001.
Mary worked for a time as a retail clerk. She was an artist, who enjoyed painting and playing the piano. Elwyn built motor homes and Mary did the decorating. She attended Cass City United Methodist Church and was a member of the Evergreen Township Extension Club. Mary was an avid bird watcher.
Mary is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dave and Connie McNaughton of Cass City; grandchildren: Justin (Teri) McNaughton, Jennifer (Randy) Johnson, Jude (Kari Ciesielski) McNaughton, Joshua and John (Christina Kababik) McNaughton; great grandchildren: Lily, David, Heather, Jordan, Gavin, Conner, Ian, Ethan, and Liam; sisters-in-law: Agnes Deo of Snover and Margaret Burns of Cass City; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Deo.
Memorial service held 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 26, 2005 in Cass City United Methodist Church with Rev. George Ward officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City.
