Linda Sue Mcintosh (Lester)

LINDA SUE McINTOSH,
70, of Cass City, formerly of Kingston, died following a brief illness Thursday, March 5, 2020 in Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. She was born May 19, 1949 in Cass City to Leland and Emily (Rodenbo) Lester. She married Floyd D. McIntosh April 18, 1986 in the Evangelical Free Church of Cass City.

Linda graduated from Kingston High School with the class of 1967. She worked for a short time for Wild John’s in Cass City. For over forty years she worked as a hairdresser and had a shop in her home. Linda was the hairdresser at Kranz Funeral Home for many years. Linda was a member of the Fraser Presbyterian Church of Cass City. She enjoyed garage sales and going shopping, sometimes getting lost all day. Linda was fond of camping in the Caseville County Park with family and friends. She worked in her flower garden and completed many jigsaw puzzles. A kind and generous woman, she always put others first including her cocker spaniel, Mac. Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially the sleepovers in the camper at the lake. Her grandchildren fondly remember Linda giving them rides on the barrel train.

Linda is survived by her husband, Floyd and their children: Timothy (Shawna Phillips) Stoll of Mason, Pamela (Dave) Kolacz of Cass City, Lorn (Diane) McIntosh of Decker, Rhonda (Michael) Truemner of Longview, TX, Paula (Jeffery) Papp of Alma, AR, Colleen (Bill) Sontag of Wake Forest, NC; grandchildren: Evie Stoll, Hailey Stoll, Brady Kolacz, Braxton Kolacz, Brooklyn Kolacz, Ryan McIntosh, Justin McIntosh, Andrea Jaskowski, Alexandria Bunt, Brandon Truemner, Amanda Nutter, Eric Papp, Karissa Hill, Billy Sontag; fourteen great grandchildren; brothers: Burton (Jane) Lester of Kingston, Dennis Lester of Marlette; sisters-in-law, Cheryl Lester of Cass City, Judy Britt of Cass City, Betty Bensinger of Ubly; brothers-in-law, Carl (Shirley) McIntosh of Williamston, Clarence (Karen) McIntosh of Presque Isle; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Jeffery Papp II; brother, Robert Lester; brothers -in-law: William Britt, Kirk Bensinger.

Funeral service held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 10, 2020 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Chaplain Kim Strunz officiating. Interment is in Evergreen Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Linda will be: Brad Lester, Dave Lester, Denny Lester, Jamie Guc, Brent Reehl, Archie Rodenbo. Memorials may be made to Revive Ministries of Cass City or Fraser Presbyterian Church.
