Donald D. McComb, 83, of Port Orange, FL, died Friday, July 22, 2005 at home. He was born April 18, 1922 in Cass City to Phillip Samuel and Iva Rhoda (Hutchinson) McComb. He married Euleta Hartsell June 8, 1940 in Napoleon, OH. She died May 4, 2001.
Don was a tool and die maker in Saginaw. He was a member of the Bridgeport Gun Club and the Moose Lodge in Saginaw. Don enjoyed mushrooming, hunting, fishing, woodworking and playing cards.
Don is survived by his children: Euleta Dianne (Rex) Fox of Ormond Beach, FL, Larry (Gail) McComb of Decherd, TN, Stella Jussila of Flint, Donna McComb of Clio; 10 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren; sister, Shirley (Justus) Ashmore of East Tawas; many nieces and nephews; brothers and sisters-in-law: William (Thelma) Hartsell of Deford, Leonard (Donna) Hartsell of Owosso, Elda Straty of Prudenville, Anna Mae (Joseph) Owens of Bridgeport. He was preceded in death by an infant son, Jerry; brother, Keith McComb; sister, Phyllis Hennessey.
Memorial service held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 4, 2005 in Kranz Funeral Home Cass City with Rev. George Ward of Cass City United Methodist Church officiating. Memorials may be made to Palm Coast Hospice of Daytona Beach. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery.
