Marion E. McClorey, 92, of Cass City, died Friday, September 26, 2003 in her home. She was born December 7, 1910 in Novesta Township to Clayton and Anna (Handley) Crawford. She married Glenn McClorey December 13, 1927 in Sheridan. He died October 9, 1975.
Marion was a Plane Spotter during WWII. She worked as a house mother in reform school in Adrian. Marion was a member of St. Pancratius Catholic Church and their Altar Society, Cass City VFW Auxiliary, Canasta Club, Quilting Club and Cass City Senior Citizens. She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, working crossword puzzles, watching Jeopardy and Lawrence Welk. She also really enjoyed traveling.
Marion is survived by her children: Richard McClorey of Cass City, Mary (Dale) Damm of Cass City, Beverly (George) Frank of Cass City; 20 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; sister, Lessel Crawford of Rochester Hills; sisters-in-law: Onalee Crawford of Cass City, Joanne Crawford of Caro, Virginia Crawford of Cass City, Ellen Crawford of Snover; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her sons: Frederick and Larry McClorey; daughter-in-law, Margaret McClorey; brothers: Arthur, Glen, Clare, Bill, Norm, Lewis, Harry and Milt Crawford; and sister, Mable McComb.
Funeral services held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 29, 2003 at St. Pancratius Catholic Church, Cass City, with Rev. Steve Fillion officiating. Interment is in Elkland Township Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Rawson Memorial Library or St. Pancratius Catholic Church.
Visitation: 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, September 27, 2003
2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2003 with Scripture service at 7:30 p.m.
