Virginia H. Mayer, 84, of Kingston, died Thursday, February 28, 2008 in her home following a short illness. She was born February 19, 1924 in Royal Oak to Peter and Loretta (Conrad) Formaz. She married Russell H. Mayer December 12, 1942 in Detroit.
Virginia enjoyed embroidering and made beautiful quilts for each of her family members. She liked to cook desserts for her family.
Virginia is survived by her husband, Russell; daughter, Penny (Mark) Barrons of Caro; grandchildren: Rebecca, Gabrielle, Vanessa, Elora; great grandchildren: Dakota and Kassidy; sister, Barbara Miller of Mt. Clements; brother, Gerald (Phyllis) Formaz of Zephyrhills, FL; several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by brothers: Conrad Formaz and Jack Formaz.
Memorial service will take place in the spring at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery.
