ERMA M. MARTIN
Erma M. Martin, 96, of Cass City, died Monday, October 11, 2004 in Tuscola County Medical Care Facility, Caro after a long illness. She was born March 27, 1908 at home in Huron County to John and Nellie (Galloway) Bissett. She married Howard Martin November 25, 1925 in Owendale. He died March 27, 1963.
Erma formerly attended Grant United Methodist Church and was a member of their Ladies Aid. She enjoyed gardening, canning and crocheting.
Erma is survived by her children: Cecil (Carolyn) Martin of Pontiac, Vivian Sefton of Decker, Betty (Harry) Smith of Venice, FL; 18 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by sons: Don Martin and Sheldon Martin and an infant son; granddaughter, Janice Smith.
Funeral service held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 14, 2004 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City with Rev. Ellen Burns of Shabbona United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Elkland Township Cemetery, Cass City. Memorials may be made to Shabbona United Methodist Church or Cass City United Methodist Church.
Visitation: 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m., Wednesday
