MARIAN HELEN RABIDEAU
Marian H. Rabideau, 88, of Cass City, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 25, 2024 in Bay Shores Senior Care, Bay City. She was born June 24, 1935 in Barkerville, British Columbia to Marshall Loren and Helen (Ertle) Brown.
Marian's professional journey took her through various paths including the dental field in London, Ontario before embracing the role of a devoted homemaker to raise her children. Her dedication extended to serving as a teacher's aide at Campbell Elementary, employed by Cass City State Bank, working at the local IGA, and finishing her career by retiring from Walbro. Marian's artistic flair was shown through her passion for crafting, painting, and creating intricate papier-mache Christmas displays in Cass City. She found joy in sewing, wood carving, nurturing her vegetable garden, and tending to her flowers. Marian was also a certified Reiki Master who valued healthy habits and the use of herbs and essential oils. She had a servant’s heart and cared for those who were struggling with sickness and disease. Marian also found beauty and healing in nature, and spent many trips traveling to British Columbia to visit her family as well as a very memorable trip to the Crystal Mines in Arkansas.
Marian is survived by her children: Suzanne (Leon Wozniak) Humpert, Diane (Darry) Patterson, Patti (Dan Sliwinski) Rabideau, and Kathy (Chuck) Churchill; ten grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Loraine (Weldon) Sorgen. She is preceded in death by her children's father Patrick Rabideau; great-grandson, Tucker Roe; sister, Trudy Voss; as well as her most beloved dog Blackie.
Memorial service held at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024 at Kranz Funeral Home in Cass City with Pastor Dale Bullock of Mizpah Missionary Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hartland Hospice.
