Edna L. Malcolm, 88, formerly of Ferndale, died Friday, August 15, 2003 in Grand Rapids. She was born October 26, 1914 to Frederick and Grace (Swadling) Warren in West Branch, Michigan.
On June 23, 1936 she married Charles Bruce Malcolm of Deford. In 1937 they moved to Highland Park, and then in 1949 they moved to Ferndale where they made their home for nearly 50 years before moving to Grand Rapids in 1998.
Mrs. Malcolm was a member of the Ferndale United Methodist Church and Ladies Circle for 50 years. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, camping and family gatherings.
Mrs. Malcolm is survived by her husband and children: Sharon (Robert) McKillop of Central Point, Oregon, Kathy (Dennis) Daniels of Sterling Heights, Debra (Daryl) Metzner of Grand Rapids, Howard (Colleen) Malcolm of Golden, Colorado; 10 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her 9 brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, 2003 at Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City, with Rev. Terry Butters of the Deford United Methodist Church officiating. Interment is in Novesta Township Cemetery. Pallbearers for Mrs. Malcolm will be: Dennis Daniels, Doug Daniels, Steve Daniels, Darlene Malcolm-Clarke, Christy Metzner, and Greg Metzner.
Visitation: 12 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 19, 2003 in Kranz Funeral Home, Cass City
